Although I have been to Bali many times in the past I never visited or stayed in West Bali. A few weeks ago I discovered West Bali with The Menjangan , a peaceful retreat. The Menjangan is an Eco-tourism resort located in the West Bali National Park.
The resort gets its name from the Menjangan Island which is a small island, located 5 miles to the north-west of Bali island and is part of the Indonesian archipelago. “Menjangan” in Indonesian means “Deer”.
The transfer from the airport was long but you will quickly be immersed in the beautiful scenery along the way that you will not even noticed how long the ride is. People who come to West Bali are those who seriously want to escape from the hustle and bustle of busy Bali to enjoy a pure Eco-tourism holiday. Here in West Bali, you will enjoy a back to basic lifestyle where you can actually fully center yourself and focus on your well being in harmony with Mother Nature.
The first day, I enjoyed my breakfast at the Bali Tower with an amazing lush view. Fresh fruit and healthy granola were served. Later on, I decided to enjoy the beach. My room has a direct view on the beach. I could feel the fresh breeze of the ocean on my skin and all the lush surroundings made me feel relaxed and calm. Overall my stay was a great experience, I even saw a family of deer. My spa experience at The Menjangan exceeded my expectation. First of all, the location was right on the beach, beautifully nestled in the mangroves. I throughout enjoyed a beautiful sea view and the sound of the crashing waves during the entire massage. It felt zen and I felt invigorated and renewed, ready to take on the World.
