I was asked by Instagram followers who are planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur to share my favorites spots and things to do in Kuala Lumpur. If you are also a traveler planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, this blog post is for you to read in order to make your stay fun and enriching.
Here are a few things that you can do while visiting Kuala Lumpur.
> The Petronas Twin Tower
The Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remain the tallest twin towers in the world. The Iconic landmark opens 6 days a week and offers a tour to the skybridge on floor 41 and the observation deck on floor 86 in tower 2. The tour lasts around 1 hour.
The towers were designed by Argentine architect Cesar Pelli . A distinctive post modern style was chosen to create a 21st-century icon for Kuala Lumpur. No trip to KL would be complete without a visit to the world’s tallest twin towers.
> Batu caves
This is one of the most recognizable landmark in Kuala Lumpur after the Twin Towers. Batu caves are Limestone caves at the top of steep steps housing Hindu temples and shrines, plus a huge deity statue. This landmark was recently renovated and the 272 stairs are now colorfully painted.
> KL Tower
The KL tower is one of the world’s tallest. This landmark tower offers scenic city views & a revolving restaurant.
> Thean Hou temple
> The National Mosque
This mosque hosts up to 15,000 worshippers, Malaysia’s national mosque has gardens, a library & a prayer hall.
> KL forest EcoPark
The eco forest park is situated within the city. It has several nature trails & a forest canopy walkway. You will also spot some monkeys here.
There are also a Butterfly park and a Zoo
> Central Market
The central market is a Cultural heritage site with restored art deco facade offering shopping, eateries & an outdoor stage.
> Petaling Street
This place is usually crowded with local and tourists shoppers. Lively, colorful Chinatown is centered on Petaling Street, known for its fashion shops and a large covered market with produce, clothes and accessories. Local artists sell paintings and crafts at nearby Central Market, where stalls also dish up noodles and curry.

SHOPPING
* Pavilion: Here you’ll find a movie theater, many high end stores and fine dining restaurants offering both international and local cuisines. There a large variety of food in the food court. For Women who want to pamper themselves, there are many spas and nail salons available for all your need.
* Starhill galleria: is home to luxury jewelers and luxury timepieces.
* KlCC and its Park. You’ll find many high-end designers shops here, a food court together with supermarkets, and the Twin Towers medical center. There is also a library and a Science Center. If you are visiting with Children, the Science Center and the Aquarium are a must.
Things to do outside KL: Get out of the city for a day of entertainment and fun with an excursion to
> Genting Highlands: The popular theme park and hill resort is home to a $D cinema casino, splash pool and plenty of games and rides—including Southeast Asia’s fastest and longest cable car.
> Sunway Lagoon is a premier multi-park destination. It offers more than 90 attractions across its six parks – Amusement Park, Water Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park, Scream Park, and Asia’s First Nickelodeon Themed Land, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon!
> Cameron Highlands: Visit the largest black tea manufacturer in Malaysia – BOH Tea Plantation. Explore beautiful Butterfly Farm, Strawberry Farm and Rose Garden.
