Life is amazing and funny at the time! Few years ago if you asked me what success means to me? I would have replied without hesitation that having an office job and/or owning my business is success. True enough I had a job at some point in my life and I did the 8am to 5pm thing. I also had my business at some point but today if you ask me what represents success, I may simply tell you having a happy family is my success. You see, Success represents different things for different people at different time in their life. However I have noticed that some of the women who are currently working in the office or call themselves boss ladies on social media tend to look down on women who are doing their best at home! Especially nowadays with Instagram, almost everyone call themselves boss lady but I’ve been there, done that.
To all the super mommies who are succeeding at maintaining a happy family, I give you my respect! I applaud you! Because you know what? just like an office job, there is a lot of work and sacrifice involved. A high number of Kids shooting guns at school in America is one of the proofs that we need to redefine what success means and maybe add “creating a happy family” to a list of what success means(why not?) A healthy society depends on functional families and communities.
My intention is not to come off as a bitter women even though I’m fully aware that in this new era of social media, being real and telling the truth may possibly make me look like a hater to the masses just like they said when I openly spoke about discrimination in the blogging industry toward Black Bloggers. But I’m not a hater and I will never be. Believe-me or not I admire all the women who are go-getters, who own their business or have an office job but I also admire mothers who make a lot of selfless sacrifices. You know what being a boss lady simply means? Being a bosslady can also mean that you are a mother who’s succeeding in creating a happy and well balanced home for your family. A boss lady could just mean that you are a woman who is actively helping your man and together you are creating a life you both love and he could not have created alone. You put the family first and you motivate him and help bring out the best in your man to succeed beyond his expectations in his field , while you are busy maintaining a happy family at home. Someone was asking if I have a sugar daddy and my answer is NO, I don’t have a sugar daddy. I have a husband/partner and together we have created more wealth and most importantly a happy family and a lifestyle that most people can only dream of. Despite all my fancy style and my travels, I remain humble but sometimes you have to say things straight.
