Happy Monday!
One of the privileges of being an expat is to give back to the community. Every year a fundraising event is held by the American Association and the profit of the event goes to deserving local charities. Last Saturday was the fundraising ball night held at the JW Marriott in the presence of the American Ambassador to Malaysia and many expats in different fields of work.
Who talks about fundraising event also talks about formal dressing so let’s talk about my style for this event. I was hesitant between a long gown and this short dress but finally I’ve decided to stick to the theme of the party which was Great Gatsby theme. In the great Gatsby Era people wore knee-length dresses, pearls, feathers. It was simply a very glamorous era therefore I opted for this mint color Halston Heritage dress that I styled like in the 20’s. The dress has a bit of silver sequins and silver shoes would have been perfect as well but you can never go wrong with black so I wore a black and silver Jimmy Choo pump. Of course the party wouldn’t have been fun without my friends, the gorgeous ladies you can see on the pictures with me. We laughed, danced and ate! A fun night to remember. I hope you enjoy the pictures and thanks for stopping by!
